A poem

in zvečer tkala odgovore,
ki ji jih pozneje, vsako jutro pozabila.

(Dan za dnem, teden za tednom).

Odločila se je oditi, vendar seveda,
dajal ji je rože in ta trn
-ta vijolična trska- se je zdela
le majhna podrobnost pred aromo.

(Kot tišine ni nikoli top)

Prej, daleč pred smrtjo
je bila pozorna, sumičeva,
a izbrala si je skrivati, kdo ji je,

katera skrivnostna roka lilij

For those that ignored every warning

Silvia Gabriela Vázquez

Before, way before being dead
she used to water the jasmines at night
and wove answers in the evening
that she forgot later, every morning.

(A day and another, week by week).

She decided to leave, but of course,
he used to give her flowers and that thorn
-that purple splinter- seemed to be
just a little detail before its aroma.

(The corner of silence is never blunt)

Before, way before being dead,
she used to be alert, suspicious,
but she chose to hide who caused her,
with the passage of time, so much sorrow.

What part of that love was not so sane,
What mysterious hand of lilies
-or a bouquet of violets or a rose-
asked repeatedly for forgiveness?

And postponed the decisions already taken
confusing passion with something else
and she accepted that salt in the open wound
before, way before being dead.

This poem was written to give visibility to the problem of gender violence and to support the actions aimed at its prevention proposed by the ODS (Sustainable Development Goal) N ° 5 promoted by the UN.
