Radiogram
Juan Fernando Mondragón
Even the drops sweat their weariness
in smaller drops,
in drops we don’t see,
in rivers of tiny tears
oozing their sadness.
Drop of the drop:
sadness also cries with sadness.
Clotheslines
Juan Fernando Mondragón
What fussy hand
rocks the cradle of clothes?
Motherhood
Juan Fernando Mondragón
They drink from a burst of milk
the cold planetary membranes.
Invention of a Comanche treatment
Juan Fernando Mondragón
What are the hours
if not our sisters?
Where do they come from
if not from sadness?
What is their meaning
if not shelter?
How do they find us
if not naked?
What do they want us for
if not to inhabit them?
